I looked at the game log, which anyone can access, and one player was indeed expelled. Another one timed out.

Several of us already looked at the game log, which you can see from the discussion above. The OP says the game log doesn't resolve their issue.

The yellow player was indeed expelled by the blue player (OP), double checked with internal server logs that show that the request did come from their IP and session.

What is unclear is why the clock still seems to be on the yellow player. My best guess is that there has been a failure to propagate this to the mainsite or vice versa. Rare occurrence but it can happen because ... computers. It is hard to tell without doing a complex analysis on old logs, so for now we will just keep the subject under surveillance.

I sincerely hope this did not distract too long from higher priority issues. But thanks for visible evidence that BGA does look into these kinds of things.

Thank you Lymon Flowers for looking into this. I know BGA staff has limited time and resources to look into all such matters.

For what it's worth, once an expulsion occurs, the game result (Elo, Arena points, etc.) has been determined, and there is little benefit to playing onward. Each player should just leave the game without penalty at that point, right?

You must not have stumbled across any of the threads where someone insists that they need to complete their work of art or attain a high score or something like that.
