Also, I could be completely imagining this, but I feel like the wood background of the forum is brighter than it used to be.

This is the kind of thing that messes with your mind. I can't tell if it's always been that way and I just now noticed it, or if it recently changed. Like that logo on the top level page of the forum? Was that there last week? If it has been around for months then there's no reason it should be standing out to me, but for some reason I'm noticing it today.

I'm not certain either, but I have a vague recollection that I've seen the same change to the player names display on game tables (with a font outline or thicker borders to the letters) some time in the past, but then it reverted back to the plain (and easier-to-read) single-colour text.

I'd certainly like to see it revert back to the plain style, for all colours not just yellow. The current font setting inhibits both reading and colour recognition, with a sideline in Geocities flashbacks.

I don't think this is just me, but did the Arena colour get brighter as well?

On the button on the tables page, the off-white text is harder to read on that shade of purple (and doesn't pass Accessibility contrast standards but it's hardly the only one).
