Yes there was still a bug. It has been fixed just now.

I don't know if it is directly related to the new changes, but I have quit from the game
Tokaido board #13422434 twice now (after waiting 17 days for one of the other players to play a first move),
and incurred 2 rating penalties, 2 abandoned games to my record, and the game still shows up
on my games in progress. Is there a way to get out of this? I never wanted to sign up for this game
with no time limits.

This seems like a step in the right direction, however there are bugs

Backgammon Table 13500555. I received a leave penalty when I ended a game that my opponent timed out on. Oddly enough, the leave penalty is not listed on the table's page but is on my page and is listed whenever I join/start a game.

This still does not address the issue with turn-based that a player who has accumulated a lot of time will take forever to get into a negative, and as far as I know, no way to expel them earlier than that.

Someone please tell me this was just not a good translation into English, because otherwise there's something seriously wrong with the concept of a turn being skipped instantaneously until someone joins again. (Does anyone besides me see what is wrong with that picture?)

I agree with qwertyasdfg:

But certainly doesn't for Hanabi.
see #13719545 as an example
Doesn't work for 6 nimmt! either. I feel like I have been cheated (whether winning or losing) after spending 20 minutes playing, up to 80%, or even 95% completion when another player kicks a slow player as soon as their clock hits zero. Because of the negative feeling that I get, this is *absolutely the worst feature* of BoardGameArena.

Much better to only have this system up to a certain point (say 65% completion) after which the computer takes over a kicked player, the game goes to the end and players get ELO for the final result.

Latécoère 631 quits every time he's behind. Can't you ban him? I looked all over for "report the player" and couldn't find it. thanks
