the system of the tournament looks pretty good but in the semi-finals, i would suggest a different seeding:

Table 1: Rank 1, 4, 7 of the first round
Table 2: Rank 2, 5, 8 of the first round
Table 3: Rank 3, 6, 9 of the first round

So, the "best players" after the first round all have a chance to play in the grand final

For me the system looks also very well and I am also in.

Maybe VinceS' suggestion can be modified by awarding the 1st ranked player of the qualification by playing against
weaker opponents than the 2nd and so on.
