There was a bug in the BGA framework and many private alpha games became temporary public alpha games.
Even though it has been fixed relatively quickly, the damage has been done already.

Applications for the public alpha testing phase are not open. The developer will comprehensively communicate how and when testers will be requested.

For anyone still interested in public testing, here is what would be most helpful:


1. If you are already a reviewer and know the game, great.

2. If you are a reviewer but do NOT know the game, please review the Learn to Play guide here: https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.c ... ressed.pdf

3. If you are NOT a reviewer and do not think you can meet the requirements in the next month (see https://boardgamearena.com/reviewer)...but you have played TI4 and know the rules, that is OK, you can still help reviewers play.

4. If you are NOT a reviewer, and you do NOT know the rules -- sorry, but it is probably best that you wait until beta.


Public testing is still not open, but I am trying to get there this month.

I can't wait for it! I'm so excited for it that I began playing the game over on TTS with a few friends to solidify the rules and try to help the best I can.

Looking forward to smash some bugs! Other than the Sardak N'oors, obviously.

I've got 120 games to go to hit Reviewer. Not sure if I will hit that, so count me in to the invite pool for anyone that wants another player! TI3+SE, TI4+PoK experienced.

Got reviewer and excited for this to open up for testing. Very familiar with TI4+POK (and have an in person game coming up in a week so this is all I can think about atm, TI4 brainrot already kicking in)

I finished the last start faction promissory note today, so the only cards left to program before public alpha are agenda cards. Unfortunately there are still 41 of those to go, so that is my main priority.

As a reviewer, will I be able to access this automatically once it hits Alpha, or are you doing a limited invite only alpha first?

All reviewers will be able to access once it goes public. Experienced TI4 players can be invited individually, but reviewers are important because they can vote to approve an implementation after finishing 3 games (which even with parallel games of TI4...may take a while).
