Lumin's upcoming tournament adds a bunch of extra bans. I can agree they all deserve a ban more generally. The cards are:

Occupations: Craft Teacher, Child Ombudsman, Freshman, Informant, Tree Guard
Minor Improvements: Teacher’s Desk, Recruitment, Carpenter’s Bench, Carpenter’s Hammer, Royal Wood, Pulverizer Plow

I also personally want to ban Brewery Pond (on strength, especially for non-arena settings but also very strong in arena settings) and Lodger (for being annoying - lodger growth parking has tended to seem weak in games I've played, but has a very high kingmaking effect on other players and is entirely untelegraphed unlike other ways of getting a room).

These bans would improve the game. For competitive play we should not be shy about getting rid of a few OP cards when there are 800ish available.

Updating the banlist is really important and it was a shame that it was not updated this current season.

My own take is:
Definite Bans: Craft Teacher, Freshman, Child Ombudsman, Teacher's Desk and Recruitment
Prefered Bans: Tree Guard, Guest Room, Royal Wood, Pulvurizer Plow, Carpenter's Bench and Carpenter's Hammer

It is obviously close enough to the above mentioned Lumin's tournament banlist and wouldn't mind settling for that.

Hope more people post on this thread, to make sure the banlist gets updated for the next season.
Playing either with or against the above cards is so uninteresting.

Agreed, there are many cards in the current set on BGA that are too strong and also create an unfun play experience. Informant is borderline but probably bannable, but certainly all the others in Lumin's banlist should be banned in arena. I really hope the banlist can be updated for next season because there are enough busted cards in the pool now that the probability of one or more being in any given game is quite high. I've never been less enthusiastic to play Agricola on BGA as I am now due to the presence of these grossly overpowered cards.

Thanks Siverure for getting a little more discussion started. I do think more posts here would help get a banlist update for next season, and it's sorely needed.

Totally on board with getting rid of Brewery Pond as it's downright busted in almost every format of the game, and borderline too strong in Arena. And while I haven't run into a Lodger experience recently I can agree that it can be extremely annoying.

This is a solid point too.

Based on Power:
Occupations: Craft Teacher, Child Ombudsman, Freshman, Informant
Minor Improvements: Teacher’s Desk, Recruitment, Carpenter’s Bench, Carpenter’s Hammer, Royal Wood, Pulverizer Plow

Based on bad gameplay effect:
Occupation: Tree Guard
Minors: Archway

Agree with Posti's list. Hope the changes get implemented next season.

I've not been playing much lately, partially because the lack of ban list makes too many games uncompetitive.

I agree with the general lists shared here.

I would ban Craft Teacher, Child Ombudsman for strength. I'd ban Tree Guard for strength/warping/annoyance reasons. I'd likely ban Freshman because it is nuts with combos. I don't care too much about an Informant ban personally.

I'd clearly ban Teacher's Desk, Recruitment, Carpenter's Bench, Carpenter's Hammer, Royal Wood, and Pulverizer Plow mostly for strength and a handful of annoyance/warping reasons. I enjoy Brewery Pond, but can understand wanting to remove it since it's basically only acceptable strength wise in the format I play.

I'd accept a ban on Lodger for annoyance reasons.

I've not been playing enough to know if Guest Room is too strong on average, without stats this is a bit harder too. I also find the card really fun, but can easily believe it's too strong on average.

There's probably a few other cards that are mildly close, but I think by the time you cut through these you get to a really good point again. As is though, there's way too man problematic cards still, some extremely so.

Ok - devs, if you are reading this, it is imperative we ban these cards so we can get Ranior streaming again. His streams are wonderful.

I agree with Ranior's list, Posti's list is quite fine but I also don't have a problem with Informant.

If we did ban Informant, we might also need to keep an eye on Forest Clearer in the future, in my opinion it feels similar in strength to Informant (maybe slightly lower raw power), but combos with other cards which want you to take wood.

I'm not a great player and I haven't seen most cards that were mentioned before. But to me, Wolf seems too strong. Is it not?
