Speaking personally, load speed is a very high priority for me. Are there any options we should keep turned off for the max load speed?

Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension
I am reluctant to suggest things to remove that others might find useful. Personally I find dark mode the highest priority, but yeah.
Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension
It's not supposed to slow down site loading (the extension files are loaded from your computer's disk), so there's bound to be an impact, but you shouldn't feel it.Barberserk wrote: ↑16 January 2025, 13:41 Oh sure, it mostly works fine, without hiccups. It makes the site etc. load a little more slowly but that is an inevitable tradeoff, yeah.
However, at the moment the site is a little slower than usual...

Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension
You are right, I am probably barking under the wrong tree, the lag comes from BGA, not from the extension. I went through the features of the extension again, to see what else I can comment on. One thing that puzzles me is the "use the default lobby" option, it seems I am always on the default lobby when I go to te tab "Play Now". Anyway, what else... How doe the option "tell other players about your decision to mute a player" work exactly? I have no idea. I have not played around with customizing the display of the website much, other than the color. We can admit BGA has an overall nice interface. Certainly from this century and not the previous one, heh.
Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension
The option about the lobby does the following:
- if you select "default lobby" => the extension does nothing, it's the default bga behavior
- if you select "redirect to the classic lobby" => the extension changes all hyperlinks (when it's possible) to redirect the user to the classic lobby instead of the new one.
When you mute a player, if you decide to warn everyone about your decision, it sends a message in the conversation telling :
${playerName} has been muted, I will no longer receive their messages. \n[Feature provided by: https://en.doc.boardgamearena.com/ChromeExtension]

Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension
That's nice, but I have never seen a different lobby, to know which one is the classic and which one is the new, some screenshots when you have the time please?Tof63 wrote: ↑16 January 2025, 16:43 The option about the lobby does the following:

Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension
The new "lobby" is not a lobby, is just the game page which now allows you to start games from it.
Re: Google Chrome and Firefox Extension
One example of this is when you open a table from the list under your avatar that's still waiting on players, you'll be taken to the game page (new lobby). With that option on in the extension, it will instead take you to the old style table pages (eg. https://boardgamearena.com/table?table= ... 02&nr=true).Barberserk wrote: ↑16 January 2025, 16:47That's nice, but I have never seen a different lobby, to know which one is the classic and which one is the new, some screenshots when you have the time please?Tof63 wrote: ↑16 January 2025, 16:43 The option about the lobby does the following:

Aaaah, that old thing, yeah I've seen it around. I think the new lobby shows more info at once, more games etc. Damn the forum is lagging hard, it took me some time to manage to reply here.
