Board Game Arena

I like the new approach to the Arena.

But having a 1 minute window to register for a game is super inconvenient. The UX currently is that I need to either stare mindlessly at the arena lobby page for potentially minutes waiting for the game to become open or risk missing it. Or set up some kind of alarm in a seperate app.

It would be much better if I could just register for an arena game in advance (I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be possible even as soon as the previous registration ends). Then BGA could just check if I'm still online and not playing anything else at the time the matchmaking starts and either include or remove me from the waiting list.

I dont mind this change if it was a 10minute period between starts, anything more is too much. Now I sit and twiddle my thumbs for 30 mins until my next chance to play new TTA...

I agree that it would be better if we could register in advance, and I think it would also be helpful if we could see how many players have already registered for the next session of each game, especially for less popular games and games with more than 2 players.

this mode goes from bad to worse. i was expecting a great new mode option with arena mode but it is very disapointing in all aspects, and now it is not just an option but it is the new rank system?? pff.

Hey BGA. That's nice to try harder. I like Arena mode and it would be awesome if we could play endlessly against super good players, but obviously that can happen only in super high frequentation periods.

Last change is a bit of a shame to me. I'm playing Race for the Galaxy, which is a rather popular game, and games are short. So turnover might work pretty well.

So, i had to wait on occasions, sometimes too long, but not all the time. On some momentum 3 or 4 games could occur one after another quite quickly.

The problem with the new system is: now i'm SURE i'm gonna wait. It's mathematic. Not a progress IMO.

Keep working. I wish i had some interesting proposition to make to improve all that, but i honestly don't.

Maybe open Arena mode at a particular time once or twice a day for one single hour or more depending on duration of every game?

Après une partie arena real time, j'ai cliqué sur "rejouer", je me suis retrouvé en attente d'adversaire sans pouvoir annuler, sauf en démarrant une partie d'un autre jeu. Que se serait-il passé sinon ? Je ne sais pas, mais le bouton rejouer doit être supprimé, ou permettre de rejouer contre le même adversaire dans la foulée du premier match.
Autre bug : j'ai démarré une partie de can't stop turn by turn à 12h. Ca ne me disait pas que c'était à moi de jouer, et ma partie est présentée comme real time sur mon écran Table #64228134

I agree that 1 mn is not enough, but more can be bad if players don't remember they Registered for a game.
Maybe there could be some kind of pre-registration, and a beep warns us in the last minute to confirm our presence?

I face a major issue as a 7 Wonders player.

There are now 5 leagues for this game. I play most of my games turn-based. We can no longer change opponent settings for Arena turn-based games.

My last result can be seen here : https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=63855281 . I played against 2 Bronze league and 1 Silver league players.

I won the game but earned no Arena points : this is kind of unfair especially now I cannot choose my opponents profile anymore.

This might have been discussed somewhere already though, but I didnt find it.

You did not earn Arena points because these opponents were too weak for you.

The latest Arena update should fix this: as it is waiting more longer before doing the matchmaking, you should played more frequently against player in the same league than you.
