Board Game Arena

There was no way to expect this amount of traffic rushing in on a normal day to day basis. BGA has done a great job keeping this ship afloat. This is a great virtual place to get your game on, but during this pandemic it's a place that keeps us less confined mentally. I thank you for working so hard and keeping this site running daily.

Let me add my own "Good job!" to the admins. They have really bent over backwards to keep the site running almost 24/7 under an unprecedented load.

New player here. I had joined and quit years ago because this site seems to be hostile towards new users.

I guess they're trying to be even more hostile with Arena!

So, in summary, I tried to join a Terra Mystica Arena game. It gave me a progress bar that never completed. So, I went off and did something else. When I came back, it had automatically entered me into a game and THEN gave me a penalty for quitting when I didn't even click to join anything!

So, I guess the moral of this site is NEVER CLICK or TRY ANYTHING! You'll just get punished.

I think that's exactly the reason I quit years ago. The site is just unforgiving if you just try to explore it.

I wish though there were more variety allowed in the numbers of players for the arena games. Some games only allow 2 players when they are far better games with at least 3.

I love arena mode.

Thank you for all the work and time you are investing here.

However, I would be happy if I did not play against the same opponents all the time, even in the less popular games. Especially at Quarto I have only played against the same opponent in 8 games when i take the arena mode. That this also plays 4 levels above me (ELO +500) hasn't made it any better. Of course you can learn a lot, but occasionally you would like to have another opponent.
