Funny how “a bigger box” is a selling feature. I know not a BGA concern, but my shelves appreciate compact travel sizes. Blasphemy, I know, but I am that guy who trashed the giant marketing game store shelf-space consuming boxes and repackages them as small as possible for storage. There, I said it, not let me have “the artwork is why we buy them” argument. 😉

New version is worse than previous
The spirit of game is not appealing as before.
Icons and visability of cards are difficult to find

Here is a video that goes through all the changes in detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXZND4aG1Lk

I have played over 2800 games in the old version and from my first impressions, the new version is a significant improvement both in graphics and gameplay. Thank you that it came to BGA so quickly!

Still some remarks:
1. The card window that appears when you hover over a card will usually cover up most of the other hand cards. In the old version, the card window always appeared below the hand cards so that all cards stayed visible. I think that was much better than now. Would be great to have a graphics option to change the card window to the old size and position.
2. The list of cards at the bottom was much more useful in the old version, because you could see costs, chains and number of cards all at once.
3. The change of Arena setting in the middle of the season is unterstandable to a certain degree but it is a bad decision if you ask me. If Repos forced you to do it, it is the opposite of customer-friendly. Arena mode was thought to be for competitive players. No one who plays anything competitive likes to have a significant rule change in the middle of the competetion. It's a little disrespectful to the Arena players if you ask me.

All in all, I am very glad that we have the new version here and my weekend will be gone...

I am hopeful that when you say there are "more wonders to come" that you are hinting at "7 Wonders Duel'. Please please please put Duel on BGA. This would be an awesome two player experience!

We Want Leaders! We Want Leaders! We Want Leaders! *glances around to see if anyone else takes up the chant*

Thanks for this update, but what was really missing is Leaders

Asmodée, which owns Repos, is profoundly customer-unfriendly. There are scores of complaints about its varied ways of hosing customers posted on BoardGameGeek. :-(

I can't agree with this enough.

Well, no choice: 7 Wonders new edition is official today (worldwide) and we have the do the switch today.
What do you mean by "no choice"? This is your website, is it not?

Shifting the goalposts right in the middle of a competition makes that competition a joke.
