Is this a troll thread, there is literally no other mention of it anywhere

The developer on BGA Studio (can't remember his name), told me that the publisher did not grant the licence for adaptation on BGA.
Pity, the game is fully playable there

That's not contradictory. Development could have started before approval, and was stopped when approval was denied.

Depending on when you found this out it might be old news. The game is in private alpha (meaning you have to ask the developer to add you; first time I see this), and he has confirmed that BGA now has the license. The BGA studio license availability isn't updated for GWT (or wasn't last time I checked), but that's an oversight, not the current situation. The game is indeed fully developed, including expansion and promos, but it needs a bit of polishing for accessibility. Not sure if there are any bugs left, haven't looked.

Can I please have access to play test this version of GWT?
Not sure if it's open to everyone but I'd love to try it out.

I am also interested in testing this game. I've played it a lot in person.

I’m currently testing the alpha version of GWT and so far it has been very smooth. My one piece of feedback...
Since the game is in private alpha, I don't know if the developer is monitoring these public forums. You might find it more useful to provide feedback on the group forum board.
the default should be to keep it hidden until the end because that's the way the physical game works. Certainly Arena settings should be hidden until the end.
For what it's worth, on another site where a less-official implementation was online the past year, the same discussion has been had many times over. It ends up going around in circles because the reality is that there is no "right" answer - people enjoy different things, which is why it's nice to have multiple options.
My opinion is very strongly in favor of having live scoring, with live auto-calculated objectives. There are many things different about the experience of playing online compared to in-person, and my goal is often not to perfectly replicate an in-person experience, but rather to reproduce the most enjoyable elements and reduce the most tedious ones. Having to spend several moments opening panels to check and recalculate the other players' scores after each turn is tedious, and having that readily available makes games go faster and feel more intuitive without any loss of tactical sharpness. In fact, I would argue that reducing the rote memorization and enabling precise tracking allows for deeper exploration of the tactical choices.
I've played a lot of GWT online over the past year, so I've thought a fair bit about this, but that doesn't make my opinion more or less valid than anyone else's. Like I said, people just enjoy different things. Opinions also change of course - over hundreds of online plays the past year I started to enjoy two player quite a lot, perhaps even more than three/four player - which is something I never thought I would say.
Anyway, glad we can all play in whatever mode is the most fun for us!
