I tried another time to start on north east side and managed finally to beat Alptrauma but it was very close ;) .

Soyesauce 126 vs Automa 116 - Focus on Economy, then Nav/AI

Not really better than my attempt at the lowest difficulty but still managed to win by the same margin. Next time I'm going to try a different research focus

breizh_bento 145 vs AutomaLein 116 – https://boardgamearena.com/3/gaiaprojec ... =328042463 – Techs focus: Nav and AI

I've only played a couple of games before so I played against the easiest bot to avoid being stomped. Many things were not optimal but I'm happy with how it ended up.

Took about 16 tries. One building shy of having 4 federations.

Rocky_Road 193 vs Ultoma 170 - https://boardgamearena.com/1/gaiaprojec ... =328204664 - Economy, Nav 2, Gaiaforming.

I completed a few games at Ultoma level on this setup, my best score is 212 vs 170:

Niall's score seems out of reach :)
And congrats to Paco224 for trying placement of the second mine North-East. I would have never thought it could score so well too!

Wishing everyone a happy festive time.

Thanks again to Marcus and Mogri for organising the monthly challenge, which has been tried by more people than report their scores. As we know, it helps improve our skills, contributes to the community, and is just plain entertaining. And while I'm not suggesting we report other scores on this thread, the same seed is great for other games – this month's set-up on the fixed map is a nice for playing Gleens, and I've recently had an excellent game starting on a random map.

You are right. There is no reason to start with Ultoma. Gg !

1 point from the 5th position. I'm sorry for you. But great game. I will watch your replay this week-end.

Another replay to watch. I have to agree. Niall's score seems too high to surpass.

I'm the only one to organise this tournament. Mogri and Kayvon are much more imortant than I am. They adapted the game for BGA. And Mogri is the guy thanks to whom we can compete in solo. Their work is exceptionnal. For me, it's literraly a dream that came true.

16 players tried the challenge so far. 11 days to surpass the "Elite". Good luck for the final weeks.

And merry christmas everyone. :-)
