I ride anywhere from 25 to 50 turn-based games simultaneously. It seems to be the right pace to keep the action going when I have time to return to the site periodically. I find it worse when I have NO turns to make when I return - rats!!!!!

You're right, but I don't think that matters.
Even if there's only 1% chance to meet bad karma players,it doesn't mean I have to tolerate them.

It does matter in so much as it was designed to illustrate that most people don't play "too many" games and those who do have rubbish karma*. A sample that size certainly doesn't confirm that number of games played corresponds to being a bad karma player, and excluding based on that (if it was possible, which for reasons discussed in this thread, it probably isn't) doesn't mean you won't have significantly less bad karma players in your games.

*ETA: I edited my post as this originally said ELOs and I wondered why I did that. Then I looked at the post with the sample, and it does indeed say that the two players with lots of games have rubbish "ELOs", so it seems that poster was commenting on their skill level at a game and saying that a person who plays lots of games will probably not be very good at them. Which also isn't true, and is even harder to prove based on that sample which only looked at their ELO for Decrypto. So basically, the sample given has nothing to do with bad karma players, and the point that limiting by number of games played is unlikely to impact the number of bad karma players you meet still stands.

Are you saying you don’t want to ever match up with me? I usually have dozens minimum and hundreds maximum ongoing games. I probably hold the record for the most games running at once as well. But I didn’t time out of a single one of them (and was legitimately capable of keeping them straight and playing well). I can totally understand that not everyone can juggle so well and it is an acquired skill that improves with practice.

Here is my record:

This is absolutely astonishing! What sort of time limits did these games have?

Probably 300 were normal turn based games set to 2 moves per day. But the vast majority were tournament games with 7 day total timers (3.5 days per player non-refreshed). It was always my turn in some game, but no game sat for more than an hour or so without a move from me during my waking hours. Quite often other people end up returning the games quickly if they are also around and so several play out in pseudo-real time and clear off the list quickly. This image was from the first game I took a move in starting the day after sleep.

Thanks very much for the insights. It's a very impressive achievement!

I have no problem with you specificaly. As in all populations, in the mega_number_of_simultaneously_played_games family there can be clever players.

My point is that I if you have many games in your pool such as Can't Stop or Haiclue, etc... this does not impact other players as these are solo games.
But if you are part of cooperative games , and moreover difficult ones that call to your reflexion much as Decrypto, you may jeopardize the whole team with your choice of playing that much games simultaneously. You specificaly may not, I don't know, but in my opinion the probability statisticaly increases with the number of games played simultaneously.

My sample may be to small to prove it, but you are entitled to increase it to prove the contrary.

Let me be clear : I do not want to make any offense to players who run many games simultaneously. If this was taken as an offense I apologize.

I just say that, as BGA allows to screen bad karmas (although you can get a very bad one with a poor connection, or depleted battery, etc...), I don't realy understand why it would be ridiculous to screen by number of simultaneously played games. Although I am aware that it will never happen.
