Avatars were never a problem in the old format, i don't think that's the issue here (and there are many to pick from)

Another example, moving holiday joker trigger to the far top right so it overlaps with the player profile avatar used to trigger the side bar. That's not a great move, placing it where you constantly are moving to and clicking

Why does clicking on the game blob orange in my case, as TB games ongoing, otherwise green, not open the tables in progress page anymore but force opens the side bar? Removal of this link means middle click on it no longer opens the progress page in a new tab, which i would often do.

The more I'm forced to use this new page the more problems I find with it.

Hmm, have you found a solution to reveal the usernames on narrow screens in Firefox? I'm definitely interested in a GreaseMonkey or similar script, though I'd prefer to avoid an entire custom extension unless I have to.

I don't personally feel the avatars add value, since a lot of them are stock images, and anyone wanting to see who is at a table and who is playing next probably won't be using the avatars -- AND those of us affected by visual noise would be happier without the avatars on the list.
