Since the new graphic I can‘t see, which cards I can buy.
Is no longer fun.
Won‘t play it anymore

There is a similar solution already in place for The Castles of Burgundy, so it shouldn't be too difficult to implement?
The card designs are better, but wow the chip design is too low contrast. I can't tell them apart. I know they are different shapes but wow I prefer the prev revision

Technically speaking, this game is no longer visually accessible. Distinguishing features are too small, there are too many fine details, and there is vey low contrast between colours. All of this requires squinting, extra concentration and an inability to focus on strategy. It makes my eyes hurt and I will no longer be able to continue playing this wonderful game. Please return to the old graphics.

I agree 100%. If it's not broken, don't break it. The coloring scheme is stupid. Hard to distinguish colors, especially between blue and green. White is bad too. PLEASE - PLEASE - go back to the prior design. Or at least give players to choose the original color scheme.

The new design is terrible. Hard to distinguish colors, especially between blue and green. White is bad too. PLEASE - PLEASE - go back to the prior design. Or at least give players the option to choose the original color scheme. Whoever made this change does not actually play the game to realize they have broken the game. It is now unplayable. When are these people going to learn that if there are no complaints about an established game, don't mess with it??

Adding in my feedback to the chorus as well; please give us the option to choose which graphics set to use. This new change is negatively impacting playability for a lot of us. For me, this is one of the primary games I am even subbed to BGA for and now I log in to get in a relaxing Friday night game and find this change with no warning. It's now somewhat stressful to play because I have to strain to differentiate a lot of details that used to be easy to grok at a glance when analyzing the board. A few particulars for me:
  • The textures on the gem value costs on cards are distracting
  • The glow highlights around cards to denote viable choices to buy are too hard to tell apart
  • The gem chips don't have enough variance between them to easily tell them apart - particularly green and blue
  • I have to squint to tell how much nobles cost
  • I enjoy that there are new nobles now but they don't feel visually distinct to me
All in all I feel this update suffers from style taking priority over playability and it makes me not want to play it anymore.

Echoing what many others have said, it would be great if there was an option to use the old graphics please. I also find the new update quite difficult to read, and it makes playing the game harder. Thank you for the consideration

Chiming in that I hate the new graphics. As many before have said it makes it harder to read and hurts my eyes. I have made a lot of mistakes because I can't tell the colors apart without straining my eyes. So sad to see this change. I would have been happy with a warning or even announcement after the fact that they were changing something. And an option to pick your graphics as others have suggested would be great.
