It all depends on the game and the player. Splendor is a very high elo ceiling and compared to this 300 is really not much. No one will say that 300 elo is weak in challengers\can't stop
Also, Ceaseless is a extremely good Splendor player and for his level 300 elo players pose almost no threat (he should win ~95% of games against them)
For Wingspan, it felt like I had to fight tooth and nail just to get over 300 ELO (now after a bad streak, I have to fight tooth and nail again to get back over). I thought I had actually accomplished something and felt somewhat proud of myself of achieving it after trying so hard.
After seeing "300 ELO is for newbies," it's a sad realization to know that I'm still crap haha.
300 elo for wingspan is significantly more than for splendor. I can tell you by my example: when I play against a 300 elo player in wingspan I think I have the advantage, but I can't relax because if the opponent is lucky I can easily lose. Playing against a player with 300 elo in the kingdomino (a more random game than Splendor) I'm still playing seriously, but I'm sure I won't lose.
How strong the opponent seems depends on the relative rating difference between you and him. In games like splendor and kingdomino, there are many more players significantly exceeding 300 elo than in Wingspan
Congratulations on reaching 300 elo in wingspan, it wasn't very long ago that you had 150. That's a lot of progress.
