We are asking for the white-blue-white flag as an option for (Russian) players in BGA who want to condemn Russian invasion of Ukraine. If you want to support this request you can vote here:

It's disgusting to play with Russian players who do not condemn the aggression and the war crimes committed by Russia. It's disgusting to see Russian users telling us that we are hypocritical since I am not: i condemned the invasion of Iraq in 2003, with demonstrations also, but now it's time to condemn Putin's war; in my opinion BGA and some users are not standing clearly for Ukraine. See for example *: there is a Ukrainian flag in the home page and in each chat of each table!

Decrying BGA's inaction was apparently deemed insulting, pending appeal.

Nobody can deny the terror that the Russian government has forced onto Ukraine. Countless war crimes are being committed as we speak. But, it is important to understand how we got here in the first place. I urge all of you reading this message to look up American professor John Mearsheimer. Professor Mearsheimer goes into great detail explaining the root causes of the war. I don't consider myself an expert in international relations, but I now know a heck of a lot more from listening to his online lectures. Give it a shot, you may surprise yourself in finding that his lectures are fascinating to listen to.

I understand the non-banning of Russian players (often mentioning NO WAR on their profile) but I am very surprised to see the proliferation of tournaments of all games 'ONLY FOR RUSSIANS' (And maybe other private tournaments 'ONLY FOR RUSSIAN SOLDIERS' ???). It's just shocking to see BGA associated in these times with this kind of claimed communitarianism of a beautiful nation that has become a fascist, barbarian and archaic military dictatorship...

I never saw such groups or tournaments. But if I would, I would report it. Have you tried that?

Doing anything for "only russians" these days is of very bad taste... isolation/separation seems getting worse... Maybe you can report the user for offering these. But where is the "only for russian soldiers" group/tournament that you mentioned?

Given that I and others choose not to play games with anyone displaying a russian flag in their profile I see no reason why they should not choose to play with themselves.

What I would like is a way to set up my choices so that I do not get matched with russians. That will save me time when finding games.
