I think seeing the bug is not about being tournament creator or not but it's about being premium or not.

Seems to be the case.

They've already implemented a bunch of fixes since release, so this is not true, and not really helpful.

For example the last release they improved tournament matchmaking and fixed invite links not being links that I'd brought up in here. The bug I posted literally 2 posts up from yours https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=209616 was announced it will be fixed tomorrow pretty much immediately.

TOURNAMENT INVITES UPDATE

We have added a player search field to give you the possiblity to invite individuals to your tournaments.

Once the tournament is created, the host can now invite players directly from this new space.

From the Tournament State section, you can search and add players using the dedicated field. Please note that you can only invite players who meet your tournament's specific criteria (such minimum ELO and/or Karma). As a creator, the system will clearly indicate if a player matches these requirements.

If you wish to bypass these criteria and invite players who do not match them, you'll need to create a private tournament and use the existing invite link feature.

Invites are sent individually and appear as a notification for the invited player, no more emails. Your name will only become visible to other participants once you have accepted the invitation.

We are currently exploring the best way to invite players who already participated in previous tournaments, yours or others. We will keep you posted when this feature is ready.

This would be useful if it could be done en masse. The first thing I used to do after creating a new tournament was invite everyone who registered for the previous one. It is cumbersome.

Maybe it's site issues, but it seems bugged as anything, it doesn't find the players I search for just comes up with error messages about "Sorry, we didn't manage to process your request fast enough".

RazorOz wrote: 11 March 2026, 13:25 There's a really strange bug where if you save a tournament as a draft, when you go back to it to publish it, it will remove Master rank ELO players from being able to enter, even if you had it ticked before. This is particularly strange, because the default is to allow all players Average-Master to enter tournaments, but if you save as a draft it unticks Master for some reason so it becomes Average-Expert. This will catch people out to exclude players they didn't want to exclude as it's very subtle, I only noticed because I was unable to register for my own tournament.

I made this point back on page 20. https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... 61#p244261

I'm happy that they appear to be resolving this one. But there's all the other bigger issues to resolve.

Chocbach wrote: 10 March 2026, 18:11 Some things that would make tournament use better:

1. The default view should be "Overview" not "My Progression". At least let us set a default view so we have a choice.
2. It would be great if I could filter for "Tournaments started by my friends or groups". I don't play public tournaments, so this would be very helpful.
3. In the tournament list, the most obvious thing should be the name of the game. Having the "title" of the tournament in a huge font, and the actual game in the tiniest font, is totally backwards.
4. Since some tournaments are restricted in various ways, we should be able to filter for those categories, like ELO for instance.
5. There should be tooltips or some kind of handy glossary to explain things like the different types of tournaments, "sleep" time, etc.
These are excellent points, succinctly stated. I hope BGA will implement all the above.

A good news this invit option.
But why not as it was previously in private tournaments without restrictions ?

Thanks for the update. I think many of us, who invested ourselves in creating tournaments, will appreciate.

However, there's something I don't understand. I've just set up a tournament with almost no restrictions : 50% karma and ELO from 0 to ...
It seemed to me that this would allow me to invite all players from my group to this tournament... That's not the case. Only 15 of them were eligible. How can this be possible ?
