Putin has just announced to the world that he is prepared to use nuclear weapons. Given that Russia is now backed into a corner as a result of their major military losses, this statement should be terrifying to everybody.

Are we still going to allow the Russian flag on BGA? I have never argued for the removal of Russian players on this website. Banning ordinary citizens for the evil actions committed by their government will not solve anything. But removing the Russian flag will show that BGA stands in solidarity with the rest of the world. This is a very important message that BGA should be communicating.

Please note that this is only a recommendation. I haven't insulted anybody or made any demands. This is only a recommendation that I hope BGA reads and seriously considers. Thank you for your time.

BGA doesn't want to do anything. Maybe when a tactical nuke has dropped, they will put a small Ukrainian flag in a corner somewhere.

• The slogan for Glory to Ukraine
• or something else?
• or something similar to something else?

I did a search (obviously) and didn't find anything with the same words as you used.

Edit: Of all the emblems and such I found I think my favourite was the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Edit: Second place would go to the patch for the patch for the Reconnaissance Company of 25th Airborne Brigade.

I guess this is the end of a very long thread discussing the war, which I've only just noticed, but I will nevertheless add this, in the hope some people will appreciate it, and will understand my reasons, which are completely peaceful.

It seems to me very sad if either Ukrainian or Russian players are taking their war onto the BGA forums, in terms of propaganda, and the spreading of hatred about the 'other side'. On this site we should all be just players, enjoying our hobby. I regularly play with Russian, Chinese, Ukrainian and Taiwanese players, even though the policies of their governments might by at odds with each other, and with my own government. I see them as fellow players and fellow human beings.

Whatever atrocities are committed by politicians and armies, there is no real good in hating your 'enemy' so much that it blinds you to their basic humanity. Most of them will be like yourself, with similar lives and families. Even those on the battlefield may generally believe in the rightness of their cause, perhaps due to propaganda, but mainly because this is how wars have been conducted for centuries. Oddly there seems no particular monopoly in carrying out acts of terrible violence for any particular country. Very many have waged brutal wars against each other, in which their populations are encouraged into hatred in order to propagate the war. And then eventually the war ends, and perhaps some time later, they or their children will have to accept the peace. It is a cycle that repeats itself endlessly.

Bearing that in mind, perhaps consider this an opportunity at understanding and building a bridge between you your fellow players, your fellow humans. And I completely endorse BGA's attitude to not banning players from particular countries for political reasons.

ha, what a pie in the sky idea; are you going to MAKE them accept this peace?
Are you going to bandage up these children, their physical and mental wounds?

People who are wounded and don't get justice don't care about your pretty words.

One might say,

and everything from St. Petersburg to Sochi will burn to ashes if their people do nothing."

A typical naive "let's all be friends" statement. 80% of Russians support this war, 50% strongly (reliable opinion polling).

They should not be on this site. There is nothing "political" about a war.

I feel like a post like this should be heavily moderated because it suggests that atrocities were committed by both sides of the war. The post is not factual and includes a lot of misleading information.
