I was giving it one more season, but just canceled my premium membership. The guru system is too opaque and unresponsive. If they are not interested in providing a premium experience, I'm not paying them more money.

I'll second that.

3 player Arena is what will make me stop playing Catan on this site.

The Guru system? So there are users on here called Gurus for reaching a certain ELO score? That's an actual thing on BGA, and not a joke? That is hilarious. Kind of reminds me of how Apple likes to call their minimum wage workers "geniuses."

It's dumber than that. It's just the 100 players who play the game the most time in a month. Good, bad, whatever. So in this case 100 people who just like burning through the fastest games they can get to set the rules for every season.

not is competitive, most of games is one-player-game

On the contrary I love the 3p arena. I refuse to play 4p games because the map is too small but it’s perfect for 3p. Arena now let’s me get 3p games easily since I mostly see 4p popping up in Simple games.

3p is easy. No wonder why people "like" it. But it is not challenging. You don't want to have a competitive setup to be simple. You want it to be a challenge to the players.

Is cheating encouraged in Arena? In my first game, as soon as I started winning one of the players gave all his goods to another player every chance he got in crazy 6 for 1 and 5 for 1 trades. Maybe he was trying to end the game as soon as possible but it ruined the Arena experience and there is no where to report cheating as it just said to give a thumbs down. I have not had this issue in regular Catan so I think this is more of an Arena issue.
