Repeating numbers is something that DOES happen with randomness. And Catan is a game where some players win with luck.

Yep. Even playing in person sometimes the dice tend to favor certain numbers. I swear one night playing in person with friends we just kept rolling tens and rarely rolled eights. It happens.

In my case it was almost always the case after more than 100 rounds.
So as a programmer, I suspected the random number algorithm.

100 rounds? Why does your game last so long? Most games are over after 70-ish games. Also... prove it. Show me a game where the pattern appears. Show the circumstances when and how it happens. Not just talking about it.

I think "100 rounds" means "100 matches".

OK, so this poster got it wrong. How about in a 4 player game the same player rolling 7 - 7 times in a row? Sorry, the RNG in this game is BS.

I’ve seen a craps player hit a 6-fire bet before, pays 999 to 1. Just because something has a low probability doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Rolling a seven seven times in a row is the most likely sequence of seven rolls, more likely than 8-4-10-3-12-9-6, for example, but I don’t see anyone getting ben’t out of shape about that sequence.

Computer random numbers are not truly random.
I am looking for randomness that is closer to true randomness.
It makes for a more interesting game.
