I agree. One of the things I like most about BGA is that there are NO BOTS. I don't want or need anyone to talk for me. I hope this AI thing is optional.

Compose a monosyllabic reply to this: "Thanks to the support of our parent company Asmodee, we have been put in touch at the beginning of last year with OpenAI, a leading company in the domain of AI chatbot, to work on advanced prototypes in order to find commercial applications to their next product which you have now probably heard about: ChatGPT. The result of this collaboration has been a 12 months joint development effort to build a new feature for Board Game Arena: ShyChat. By enabling ShyChat on your BGA profile, you will be able to focus 100% on the game you play, while our AI engine takes care of the conversation with your opponents."
ChatGPT
"Ok."
Hahah love that ChatGPT's "monosyllabic" reply is two syllables

In my culture, trying to April Fool someone except on the morning of April Fool's day makes YOU the fool. Just saying.

"Well played!" (or so chatGPT told me to say). A
really nice touch in how you subtley hung some red meat on the hook with the first sentence:
The most important thing we always keep in mind at BGA is that board games is a way to express human interactions.
But I guess there are always those that have to make a place for games an NFL (No Fun League):

In my "culture" some of us recognize there is a reality outside our immediate vicinity, and more specifically there are 24 different time zones in the world. It was already April 1st in some of them when this was posted (it's April 1st 8am in New Zealand right now, for example). In my culture that makes the fool the person who would post a weird personal attack like that, both being myopic about the world around me AND at the same time claiming to speak for everyone else in their culture (which btw my wife is a member of - her brother even lives in your city) "Just saying."
