Agree that this is an undesirable change. Please provide the option to return to the "classic" view. If you believe that there is some benefit it would be interesting to understand what that is. Thanks

I like having a more compact option to see my games in progress, and appreciate that I can tune that (somewhat, but more than before). Making all the player names fully visible, at least in the "large" format, would be appreciated.
The tone-on-tone and the big game box pictures that show up in spaces not otherwise occupied I'm not so fond of.
Black on white with colored links is very readable. Shades and tones of the same color (and having the background color change under the game parameters) are slower to parse. Outlines (and drop shadows) can define related groups of information as well as colored boxes can, and do it without reducing contrast. I know flat interfaces are currently in style, but they're harder to parse. The game in progress page is a utility page. It should be optimized for efficiency. The games can be as pretty and stylish as the designers want them to be (and I may choose not to play them if pretty wins out over playable).
The game box pictures are loud and distracting. Being prompt with my moves is my responsibility as a player. Nothing on the game in progress page should take attention away from figuring out which games I currently owe a move on.

Tournaments shortcut:
I am playing in a tournament at the moment, but I have no games active since I'm waiting for the next round to start. However I would like a link to that active tournament, I would like to check it's status.
This would be lovely! If there's any way to see which tournaments I'm participating in but don't currently have an active game in without going to the "in progress" section of the tournament page, I have yet to find it. The games in progress page would be a fine place for that.

Is there an option to keep the "here are some suggestions" part hidden? If I'm on the gameinprogress page, hide that section, then click the "waiting for you" button, the "here are some suggestions" section appears again. It's visual clutter for me, and if anything it makes more sense to put it at the bottom of the page.
Luckily uBlock gives me the option of blocking specific elements so now I never have to see it, but it would be nice if this functionality was built-in to BGA.
I agree and made an image earlier in the thread -- it comes across looking like an ad. I would love to hide it, and some simple CSS should be sufficient to do so.

Here was my first entry made February 2.

I see that we are back to the previous "gameinprogress" view.
My critics about the new one :
- When I go on "gameinprogress" it is to view my game in progress but the top of the page if full with 3 tables with 0 news.
I want to have on top the Tables where there are news (or games in progress)
- In the past I have made suggestion about game in progress and nothing that I requested is present, I want to see :
* In case of Tournament : the name of the tournament and a link for it
* The end date-time of the game if not finished before.
* The end date-time that I have to finish the game and not being expeled by another player
* I don't want to see the "Other games in progress:" to not loose time to load this unuseful table. It should be a link for another dedicated page.
* Players in a game in progress should be sorted in the same way it is in the game view.
* Have the possibility to sort by game, by delay of the ends, and others sorts....
* ... Others that I don't remember
Best regards. Menettm
Today the new view is back.
We can Hide the first table. But I don't know how to recover it !
I play near only Tournament, I would like to hide the PLAY Tables and the ARENA Tables that are at 0 (and have a way to recover them).
We should have the possibility to sort the 4 tables and the empty tables should be at the end.
...
I have just discovered that a waiting table come first if we have a game to play : GOOD.
But like said before, I would like to have more informations about each game played (about tournament name, link and times) rather seeing unuseful views that take about 2 pages...

old view was a ton less busy, developer who made new page is not considering mobile or non arena players with too much cruft in white space. option to hide sections we want to see and old view concise option could solve the UI issue. Seems modern developers bloat everything as similar happened with BGG UI changes...
if you see canceled premium memberships spike... read this thread...

Agreed. New design is pretty bad: chaotic, cluttered, useless elements (for example games I never played or want to play). I would also like the option to tweak, to tone down or to revert to the classic view. What I really want from an overview page of games in progress:
- Lean and mean minimalistic design
- Quickly see games that are my turn and how much time left
- Sort by game

Arena tables, have none, don't show it to me.
Tournament tables, have none, don't show it to me.
Play again, not interested in suggestions, let me hide it.
Discover other games, I do that myself, thanks, let me hide it.
More friends, more fun!, not interested, let me hide it.
You guys got one page that, while not perfect was more or less compact, and threw a bunch of stuff on it. Now it's unreadable. And the only way to start removing things from it is to use uBlock and start blocking code.
Guess my opinion is... thank you for letting us hide a couple of things and reduce the progress column?
And, while we're at it, the old orange background when it's your turn was way, WAY more visible than just the small orange clock at the left.
Come on, guys. BGG doesn't listen to the users and everything they change, they make it worse(ish) if slightly prettier. Don't be like them. Give us options.

Why fix what wasn't broken? Especially since your "fix" broke it! This is an AWFUL update. Hate it hate it hate it. Please allow us to go back to the classic style. Why would you do this to us? Awful.

Hi, the old design was very easy to see your tables and who was at those tables. This new look is very cluttered and much harder to quickly find what you need.
A few points. All about mobile. First is that clicking on the top right icon to open the current tables now takes significantly longer, and 1 to 2 seconds for it to actually pop out and load, this is not improvement.
The top right view has zero space in between tables and is hard to see if the users are for the game above or below, please create space between the tables like in the current games page.
The current games page does not show all the players names, this means that information that was there before is no longer accessible. I have dozens of tables of the same game and need to be able to see who is at the table to select the correct table. Like the old page, the table should be bigger if there are more people so that it can correctly display who is at that table.
The colors for arena tables and regular tables are way too similar to tell apart quickly. It is also much harder to distinguish which tables are still waiting for more players to join, this was very easy with the old view.
Please make some changes to this based on all the constructive feedback you are getting. Making something flashy, and harder to read is not an improvement. As others have said this page was meant to quickly give you the information you needed. The game page can be cluttered and full of distractions but this page should not.
Lastly, sort of a note about most of your recent changes, please consider accessibility and human behaviour into your new designs. It seems many of the recent changes go against easy to view, and normal eye movement, making the user need to spend more time figuring out how to get to a game, find the info they need, or carefully look over details instead of being able to quickly scan for info. Instead of actually playing the games, we seem to spend extra getting to the games.
