There is actually a very simple way to figure it out: ask the other person in the chat before you concede. Then you will know if they are like you, fine to concede against, or if they are like me, in which case you would recognize that it's more considerate to wait.

It would be considerate of you to recognize that I'm not fine with not conceding. Do you see your selfishness here? It's pretty clear.

Consideration is, when all else fails, to just follow the rules. BGA's decision to allow conceding wasn't arbitrary or immoral. It was a well informed, correct decision.

If you really have some freakish, extreme aversion to conceding, maybe you shouldn't play online with strangers who might concede.

I said I'm an impatient person myself. I'm not somehow more immune to boredom than you are. The difference between you and me is that I recognize my boredom is a mere inconvenience compared to some people's issues.

This doesn't go just for gaming, but life in general. If someone needs help with a direction, I'll take a minute of my life and explain it to them. Maybe you would too. Even though they don't have a serious issue going on, you may choose to be considerate and help them. But when it's something as devastating as conceding, suddenly you decide it's okay to only think of yourself and your precious minutes.
