Why do I have to be the courteous one? Did your courtesy fly out the window? If you're so courteous, you could say, "Sure. I don't want to subject you to what you feel is an unpleasant experience. Go ahead and concede." Your argument is infantile. It's like, "Me, therefore not you."
Courtesy means recognizing when other people's issues come first.

I would never, ever let something devastating happen to someone, if I was able to prevent it simply by using up a few minutes of my time. It's concerning that some people wouldn't agree with this statement.

Exactly. But you're not recognizing that, in this case, my issue comes first. Did you miss my post explaining how I'd rather gauge my eyes out and barbeque them than continuing to play in a game I've already lost? That's not devastating enough for you? You could spare me that anguish simply by excusing me from the game. It's concerning that you don't see that.

I thought that comment was facetious. In the unlikely case that you are telling the truth, then I'd concede that you can concede, but I'm not convinced you are telling the truth.

Okay, at this point, I’m done discussing this because anyone who makes this kind of absolutely absurd statement is either trolling or is suffering from mental illness and needs some help.
That makes me wonder how you treat people in real life who are different from you.
Says the person who just said they are okay with putting their physical and financial safety at risk all to make sure someone doesn’t concede a board game.

Yeah. Totally normal opinion to have.
I didn't say I would risk the worst of the worst, but to an extent I would be willing to make some sacrifices.

Nothing all that abnormal, when you think about it. Athletes risk physical injuries for glory. Art aficionados will spend thousands on a painting.

The value of things, as it were, is very personal and subjective.
