Just a small update:

In about 5 days from now it will be 2 entire months of being locked out from accessing my basic customer profile and data and therefore UNABLE to cancel my premium account.

Boardgamearena has been completely unresponsive and not acted on this matter in any way since some emails sent by an unidentified individual a few days after the incident.

This is not unacceptable, but actual illegal in view of basic EU customer rights & privacy laws.

You ought to be able to simply cancel your payments to BGA by speaking to your bank.

From experience, BGA will not change unless they are legally required to do so.... You should sue them...

I am asking for my money back is what I am doing.

It begs the question how BGA thinks they are complying with GDPR, basic customer laws by keeping me effectively locked out from even basic account management features.

It's really atrociously terrible from a customer service perspective.

I would strongly recommend anyone to cancel their premium accounts as your basic data and confidential payment information CANNOT be trusted to be treated well on this site.

Moderation is also broken in the sense, that the site forces any user who has been moderated (no matter how questionable the “judges”, the case presented and/or the accuser) THEN demands of the accused to “sign” a page by clicking a button that reads “Understood and agreed”
after activating a check-box that reads “I've read and understood the moderation, and I agree to not do this again.“

In a nutshell, it forces “moderated” users to an action that is not just overreaching and often non-sensical, given the often questionable nature of report & moderation put in place. How and why such an action is required or forced is inexplicable.

It basically forces any moderated user to “pleading guilty” AND to “sign” such a document.

This is preposterous, unacceptable and possibly illegal.

Not doing so results in permanently being locked out from site indefinitely incl. access to account, account settings, managing premium account (incl. being UNABLE to cancel premium) and other basic features and rights of any user as protected by EU privacy and data laws.

I can verify Mach3Racer's claims in regards to the 'moderation screen'. It completely locks out all site functions including basic account management and basically demands a guilty plea as described.

The screen also blocks forum access, so Mach3Racer is most likely referring to another account.

Matchracer allegations are basically a lie: he always had the possibility to access its account preferences and cancel his membership. He has not been banned, just "limited".

The truth is: he chosed to insuls moderators on this forum, and deserve its moderation.

As these allegations became the main subject of this thread, I see no reason to let it open (like all other past/future thread on this subjects).
