Then you're 100% wrong

Check Hiddendragon stats for example. He's Tzolk in rank 1 and was Spyrium rank 1 before Faignantix.
And Hiddendragon never plays good players.
As you said, ranking is here to reflect who is good and at the moment it doesn't work at all.
What about a points penalty for someone who didn't play for 60 days and/or didn't play any stronger player than him (or top 5 players if you're in top 5) ?
That would definetly fix abusers like hiddendragon or deszcyk. Those guys shouldn't be ranked at anything they just play 1300 ~ 1500 elo all the time and now are masters in lot of games, it's ridiculous.

The elo system is still buggued, people can earn medals without earning elo :

The elo system is still broken.
Gap is more than 600 elo points and winner won some elo:

In the first link, the player get trophies because he/she lost these for 60 days of inactivity, so when play again... he recover it -but don't get more ELO-
In the second table, since some months BGA admins setup the minimum ELO at 1 for winners. After +667 ELO, one player -who has more ELO- can get 0 ELO if he/she wins. So they edit it.

I don't get the point recovering trophies playing with no risk, with no elo involved.

No, it's the opposite. At the moment if you play someone with 600 elo less than you and you win you should win 0 elo.
