How do you manually reactivate? Do I need to remove and then re-add to Chrome (and is doing so going to lose what settings I have set)?

ETA: Never mind, it must have updated and disabled itself for the new permission and then re-enabling was obvious - I was obviously just expecting it a bit sooner than it did.

Extension options popup (right-click ext icon > Options) is broken for me in Chrome 136 since the last update from version 1.11.20 to 1.11.22.
I can see the URL changes to: chrome://extensions/?options=kchnhmpeopknjdjejognciimepllkacb but nothing is displayed.
Already tried restarting the browser and reinstalling the extension.

The settings should not be lost no. Unless you uninstall the extension.

Strange... Do you have an error in the Browser console for this page ?

No errors in the console, just filters add/remove

Also, the fast create button doesn't work for me. A number of versions ago it sometimes worked, sometimes causing a dialog to open, and only working after closing that dialog. Now the last few versions nothing happens at all on clicking the fast create button. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Yeah, because I couldn't see a way to update, I was assuming I might need to remove/uninstall and reinstall. But it just took a bit longer for the update to hit my browser I guess (it was available in the store when I checked). All good now.

Dear Tof63 and other extension fans!

I made a special dark mode for BGA as a Stylus userstyle, which provides several dark themes for the website. I later on encountered that you already created an amazing browser extension that also includes this feature. I still don’t regard my work useless, since I think my themes might mean a more customized experience and a bigger visual harmony (since I think BGA has a lot of different coloured buttons, I tried to simplify this riot of colours, because in a dark theme I think colour inconsistency can disturb more). I don’t know what do you say personally, but I’d feel it really an honour, if you could perhaps include it in the extension somehow. I would be also interested whether other users of the extension would find it a good idea.

Thank you for considering my proposal in advance.

The version 1.12.0 has been released. It is already available for Firefox and will be available soon for Chrome.

This version brings dark mode fixes for the following games:
- Altay
- Apiary
- Dedale
- Dragon Wood
- Panda Rei
- The Lord Of The Rings - Fate of the fellowship
- The White Castle

This version also brings some good optimizations (in exchange for a few extra kilobytes of hard disk space). A slightly larger extension for better performance, we hope you'll find it a good deal :)
What's more, you can now change the extension language in the “Miscellaneous settings” tab: the extension language is no longer necessarily the same as your browser.

Hi !

Thanks for the appreciation! :)
I don't know if it could easily be integrated into the extension. For example the extension allows you to change the dominant color of the dark mode, which would no longer work with your css code.
And it's a lot of work to manage all the games, the extension currently adds css for over 900 games, we can't afford to do this work twice.
Maybe we could just allow to use your dark mode for the main site (and not for the games): I could see an option to switch between the extension's theme and yours.
It's just an idea, we'll have to evaluate the feasibility. It would be easier if you could isolate the website css (without the games css) and the best thing would be to have a public URL for this css that you could continue to maintain on your own.
You can contact me in private to discuss it if you want!

Hello,

Would it be possible on the Arena homepage (https://boardgamearena.com/lobby) to completely filter out (as in, remove them from the DOM) greyed out games? I don't need 3/4 of the page being games I can't actually interact with because I haven't reached 100 Elo for them yet.
That would be for all three sections: Favorite games, Suggestions for you and Other games you know. Suggestions for you specifically is kind of dumb, since I believe it only shows games you haven't played yet, so there's 0 chance you can enter Arena with them and the whole section should be removed.

Thanks!
