Dear BGA admins! You asked for feedback, which was duly given by the players. So why are you not responding? What is the point of asking for feedback if you are not going to act on it?

This issue has been going on for almost two months now, and you have been asked many times by many different players to revert the changes. Logical arguments and better options instead of the implemented changes were also presented. So why is there still silence? This is completely disrespectful towards the players that YOU asked to give feedback, and it makes no sense from any point of view.

I continue to regularly read your messages.
It goes without saying that any regression that occurs may need to be examined and dealt with.

But in reference to the primary remarks:
  • Power leveling: we continue to monitor the status and it seems unfair not to be able to win ELO and only suffer the loss, even for players that keep on losing against the very same opponent.
  • ELO Decay: based on all of your comments, it appears clear that this was a bad idea and that the leaderboard and arena currently in place allow for the prevention of the mentioned behavior. Consequently, we have chosen not to apply any ELO decay as originally planned.
  • Red Thumbs: an attractive suggestion surfaced regarding the potential trade-off of having decaying red thumbs.
It has been 39 days since you last communicated with us, and 59 days since you asked for feedback. You now have 55 pages of it, almost all against the changes.

When are you going to respond to us?

Seriously though. You asked for feedback, got it, and now you have vanished for over a month. Have you considered what kind of impression does that make? Please respond. It takes minimal effort.

Hello, i just asked bga on support : "Why the elo in coop games is desactivate ?"

Idk if it can help but we take those : :?

"Dear Sau6flarEtSau6,

Thanks for playing on Board Game Arena.

This is a cooperative game and the awards and achievements have been disabled. It is no longer possible to have a rank in a coop game."

Its the answer of today..Overall this is the worst change that could happen in co-op games, honestly I just want what co-op games reward me for my playthrough. By the way the nicest people are at Coop-Games, now I'm no longer motivated to play Coop games. In addition, this also creates active players on these games.

So nice to win on arena and get 0 elo. as can be seen in my history against this player, we only face each other on arena.
So rational.

Dang, that was 15+ points worth of penalties in just that one streak.

It's clearly because you were playing this player a ridiculous number of times having played them *checks notes* 6 whole times in a mere 30 days.

Yeah, sarcastic banter aside, it's ridiculous that you were penalized like that, particularly for arena matches. One could have hoped - and expected - that this would have been reverted by now.

In the meantime, my best advice is to give them a red thumb to avoid them, set a reminder on your calendar to unblock them in 31 days, and move on. It's stupid and it lowers the competition when you have to avoid good players due to elo penalties, but that's the only way to work with the system the devs gave us.

OK, the 'post your feedback' part has been more than accomplished by the players, while the 'improve the system accordingly' not at all. So how about some communication from you? People have been asking for it for a long time now.

I don't think they're going to answer. We're stuck with this garbage. The only thing that will make them possibly change now is if enough people leave the site and cancel their subscriptions. I think that's what they're waiting to see. Moaning people who still play and pay doesn't affect them. So it all comes down to how people disappear and whether numbers go up/down/or stay the same. Anything other than down means they won't revert.
