No. Their arena status is removed, the game goes on normally.

It looks like people are entering lots of games but aren‘t finishing them if they are losing (in Carcassonne at least). Obviously, people competing for the top won‘t willingly place the last move of the game if it costs them points in the rankings and if they can delay it until after the end of the season. I think this should be changed, like a moratorium on starting turn-based games in arena mode. If the maximum length of a game is 3 days, then you shouldn‘t be able to start it less than 72h before the season ends.

Is it just me or do other people feel this cherry-picking of victories is unfair/verging on cheating?

+1

Same issue here. Higher ranked player starts playing veryyyyyy slowly when they are losing.
They just want to wait until the end of the season.

The same thing happens with Kingdomino. In my opinion this is very unfair, they respect the current rules, but not the other players.

It‘s disappointing, I have been in the top 20 for the last few weeks and was just overtaken by people doing exactly that. Some of their games have 0 (or close) tiles remaining with a clear loss incoming yet they won‘t finish and lose those points. I hope it gets fixed in future seasons. I doubt anything will be done now. I didn‘t realise until yesterday that turn-based was even possible for the arena. It should be a level playing field, if you ask me. Same rules for every match played, only then the ranking really makes sense.

(also, people who are banned forever should be removed from the arena / elo leaderboard... there‘s 2 high ranking players in Carcassonne for example. I made another thread about it https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... =9&t=17587)

Is there any way to see previous season ranking? I can see current season and all time ranking, but I can't see season 2's ranking. It was available for a very short time, and then rankings were initialized to season 3. It would be nice to see more than just the previous champion. At least the top 10.

Just had 2 turn-based games, Lewis & Clark, and Medeira automatically close the table because it couldn't find opponents. Should I be getting these notifications?
Looks likely this will also happen for Jump Gate too.

'Remember When' is 6-players. That's very high for a small player base.
