Players sitting out in Arena to preserve ranking

Thanks much for seriously listening to the concerns of all parties here. I know many turn based fans who just wanted to play and didn't care about the competitive aspects that the cheaters were exploiting, while many of us cared that the competition results were very questionable in many cases. Seeking a solution to these problems is very much appreciated.

I think this has been a remarkably fast discussion with a really good solution. There are still some very niche ways players can get very small edges, but they are essentially nonexistent. Instead players can enjoy turn based mode with fairly minimal restrictions, while everyone can enjoy knowing that there are not obvious exploits for cheaters to take advantage of to get to the top of the rankings.

My 2 cents. Everyone should be free to choose his strategy (few or hundreds of matches) or his field (live or turn-based games). The real problem with Arena is that actually it encourages - not intentionally, of course - to cheat the system (turn-based games purposely not finished when the player is loosing). Or, to say in a different way, it damages real and fair players (fun, competition, sportivity) and facilitates obsessed and addicted to statistics players. And this last thing is not anymore a competition, but a disease. BGA should be not tolerate this non-sense behavior.

I haven't done turn based arena mode yet -- is it a bug that you're talking about? Can a player delay the game indefinitely?

edit: oh, haha- maybe someone has answered this in the 7 pages I didn't read yet...?
