The game should be played on equal terms. If you have to pay for that, then it’s a paid game. What’s so hard to understand about that?
In my opinion, you are starting from a wrong premise.
This game can be played on equal term. In multiple places and timezone. BUt here, on BGA, to be played on equal term by players who can't be satisfied by the five free faction it will require a premium pass, that's all. Feel free to play with people who wna to play the base factions or play elsewhere. Nothing difficult. Far easier than making someone admit that he is wrong in the way he manages his own work and spent time and should work for you for free, imo.19Arx wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 08:22The game should be played on equal terms. But no, they just want to have it both ways — stay within the limits of a free-to-play game and still make lots of moneyIn the end, these cheap manipulations only damage the reputation.
I have a very negative attitude toward all kinds of manipulative tactics. By the way, that's exactly what you're doing right now.
Oh no, please don't make your own fully-paid website without increasing player numbers with non-paying users, surely you will have a great business model. Please, please don't leave BGA!19Arx wrote: ↑30 May 2026, 08:36I have a very negative attitude toward all kinds of manipulative tactics. By the way, that's exactly what you're doing right now.
Stay with me here. Work should not be free, and of course, GTSchemer isn't doing this for free. However, if a platform presents itself as free and then uses cheap manipulative tactics to push people into paying, it looks awful. Just make the game paid and stop messing people around.
And honestly, given the way Twilight Imperium games are played, for me it's more like routine, unpaid work than entertainment.
So where exactly am I wrong when I say: if you're creating unequal conditions, then let paid accounts play with each other? Personally, I have absolutely no desire to participate in that, either for free or for money.
No I'm not manipulative. I'm pointing out your biais which is that you believe you are right by confusing your opinion with facts. You are using syllogism, sophism, fundamental attribution error bias, self-serving bias, and as a HUGE part of your behavior here : psychological reactance.19Arx wrote: ↑30 May 2026, 08:36I have a very negative attitude toward all kinds of manipulative tactics. I may make communication mistakes—English is far from my native language. I wasn’t speaking on behalf of all players, only for the portion of them, possibly a small one, that I consider myself part of.LuksmGame wrote: ↑30 May 2026, 10:28

Let me say that more simply : since you posted that opinion of yours, every single answer you got was telling you you were wrong. Of course, there is not many response and there may be will not, but imagine there is a lot of answers telling you your wrong. That's the same as you pointing a color, telling it's green and everyone else answering you it's red. Of course you may be right and everyone esle can be trying to manipulate you.
Or you have an issue with your eyes, which can happen to anyone anywhere, anywhen and should just be treated.
So, what I suggest you here : Go see someone in your life that you are CONFIDENT he/she will NEVER attempt to manipulate you. And ask that person to read that conversation between you and this community here and ask her/his opinion about it.
Imo, that's the fastest way to solve your percepition issue, here
I wish you a nice day, and I feel sad that you are able to do such argumentation yet chose to post such a poor initial post. Don't you think that too? That your choice of word was poor, and could only generate the kind of answer you currently got?
I mean, if you're sensitive to manipulation, the fact that you chose to spoke in the name of "the players" instead of you should already light some manipulative behavior in your own choice of word, no? I'm a player, and I don't feel ifnerior, so you mispoke of me, right? You used my voice as an arguemtn without my consent and while lying, so, quite manipulative yourself, no?
Sorry to point that out so bluntly but :
