This is not awkward: just select "Arena mode" in the lobby, then go to game X, and click on the corresponding "Setting" button (the cog wheel).

You still win and lose ELO. System pairs you with people leagues ahead of you. You have to enter the game manually after queueing, even for real time games. Why does this exist, again?

Of course. You can read the "How about the ELO ranking" in the FAQ.

It tries to match you with player from the same league, and if there is none you may be matched with players from other leagues.

You can find them at 2 different places:
_ game X page => rankings.
_ during an Arena game => bottom of the page => rankings.

You've just hi-jacked the ELO rankings.
The ELO rating should also be permanently visible.

If I'm in the bronze league, then I want to see the bronze level rankings, and I want to know who's in the bronze league, and the recent results of the bronze league, and possibly who's currently active in the bronze league that I might be matched with.

Can you play multiple tables of the same game at the same time?

Trying to play Puerto Rico in arena mode. 20 minutes so far, and it's still "searching for opponents..."

When I look at the actual tables it's created, potential players occasionally join, and then quickly quit. I've never seen more than one other player on an arena table.

You seem to have chosen 4 players as the "arena configuration" for PR. It's often quite difficult to get 4 players for a game of PR anyway. I guess that the Arena Mode interface (which shows nothing but an unchanging "progress bar") is not very encouraging for someone who just wants to play.

I understand why you want to choose a single configuration for Arena Mode, but I'm not sure it's a good idea. Perhaps you could have 2 or 3 popular configurations, and a corresponding league for each? In the case of PR, the two-player game is quite popular, it's very, very different from the 4-player game, and it would be much easier for the system to match up players.

Anyway. I don't seem to be any closer to getting a game, so I'm giving up...

I think an official announcement might help. Seems very difficult to find arena games right now. Several games in top 20 percent of popularity don’t have any arena games (clans of caledonia puerto rico, saboteur, tzolkin)

Only other comment is less popular games should require the lower player number if game plays equally well. Particular pointing to a mid popularity game like palaces of carrarra...real time 4 player games almost never get filled...guessing less than 1 per month. Plus it is better at 2p anyway troyes at 2p would be nice too, though that is probably a good candidate for alternating seasons of 2p v 3p

Edit wanted to add uncle chestnuts table gype as one that should be 2p for same reasons as carrarra. More strategic game and possible to find 2p, getting 4p realtime is not.

Could you implement 2p as an option for Terra Mystica aswell?
It's popular too and everybody can't quite find 1h30 to play a game..

The game doesn't always automatically jump straight into the playing window at the start which has caused many abandoned games for me (7 wonders) as some players supposedly doesn't have noticed that the game has started. It leads also to the question on why the abandoned games affects your average score in the game history page?

I would like to say with players wanted to play. Now I don´t can. So I want the normal start page. Is that possibel?
