FAQ: Arena mode

I thought in Arena Mode you could not win a game and gain nothing at all in return ?
I just won 2 games in Mr Jack and am still stuck with 0 points in Platinum league. Although the loss before that made me lose 3 points instantly of course.... I'm not responsible for the choice of opponents, but if I have to win 10 games in a row to go to Diamond, it seems ridiculous.
Is it a bug ?

You can restrict opponents arena rank in the arena settings for each game, if you dont allow opponents more than 2 ranke below you, you‘ll always gain something from a win.

Is there a "private arena"-type of feature? That is, a pre-formed group of members can be randomly assigned to each other to play a certain game for a set period of time or number of games. If not, has anyone created this sort of workaround? I can only imagine tracking it in Google Sheets....

Hi, you could create a swiss tournament, with invitation-only access. It already works well for 2 players games, and a mode for 3+ players games is in Beta and should arrive soon.

Hi, is there a way to check past classification of the Arena mode for different games?

For example, can I see somewhere the classification of Carcassonne Arena Mode season 1 ?

Hello everyone ,

Current system of match making in Arena is really weird. ( Speaking of 7 wonders / Duel / Dice forge but it must be the same in other games )
Even with option of playing against people same level , the system put you against all "Elite league people"
That means for top player over 1800 play people under 1500 ( 400 vs 100 in every time point )

Match are finally not "equilibrate" and have no sense.
If arena is really a competitive mode , I think you must sort people with elo or arena point and not only "division" .
I know that mean wait more time for match making but it means equilibrate match too ..

If tournament can be in the future part of the Arena ranking system it can be great too ( Option )
I hope we can improve match making system of Arena in the future because for everyone it's really more pleasant to play people samme elo (+/- 100)

What do you think all about this two idea ?

It flexes a little bit, but seasons start/end roughly January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1

thanks for the info. the website now shows when the arena season ends exactly so thank you whoever worked on that feature! extremely helpful.

When you click on "display more..." in the top 10 ranking, it jumps directly to 21 as opposed to 11 (for me at least, on chrome and safari for mac, for Carcassonne).
