I really don't like the direction this site is taking... Announcing your second price increase of the year while ignoring the vast, long-standing user complaints puts a bad taste in everyone's mouths. Transparency and an open dialogue needs to be a priority.

How about addressing the complaints and a roadmap for improvements? This sluggish and unstable website has continuously gotten worse. Introducing new games means nothing if there's no one around to play them. Where's the user QoL features? Bug fixes?

There's such a high priority in adding new games... does it all really justify their cost? Are users able to find tables for them after the initial hype wearing off? I'm not saying we should stop adding games, but can't some of the focus be put for general website features instead?

I've played less and less games here because of all the problems. I certainly won't be renewing my subscription if the issues aren't improved by then.

Very well put The_Kerfuffle.

I'm still waiting for Red Thumbs to be disabled in Arena.

Agree!

The more you charge, the fewer premium members you're going to have.

Maybe you've looked at your data and found you can make more income by having fewer premium members that pay more.
I guess it's your decision.
Personally, I'd prefer a larger premium player base to a smaller one that's willing to pay a higher fee.

...
This is already a problem: on some more expert or less known games, there are few players, so even being Premium does not help because there is nobody to join, so why paying for that??

We are 2 in our household with 2 premium memberships, so we have to pay 2x this significant increase :-(
→ I think we will reconsider our premium membership.
I am not renewing. It is too expensive

I've been considering this, one of the reasons I'd kept my premium subscription since 2020 was the previous loyalty subscription offered and to help support BGA. Now, I don’t feel I have the same incentive.

I'm also going to assume the new 6 year loyalty requirement was chosen to avoid all the premium members who joined during the pandemic. I can imagine that first year saw a big influx.

This change feels much more like a shareholder-driven decision than an effort to improve the site and games. I'm running into more bugs lately, and today discovered I can't read any bug reports whilst I have custom CSS enabled.

Over the years, I think the site UI has improved and there have been some great games added, but I'm not sure the amount I play justifies continuing to pay the premium price, especially with what now feels like a yearly price increase.
