Thanks for the correction, I misread or more likely mis-assumed scoring.

This game hinged on the final turn of Round 1. Both players had chipped away at each other but were playing hide-and-seek with wounded units: it was tied 1-1 in medals, and both players had killed 18 figures. MDGatsby played an Armor Assault and inflicted 10 damage, finishing off 4 units and capturing the Axis objective medal for a rare 5-medal turn. The games were much cagier and closer than the final score would appear.

Hello everyone. Phase 1 is now complete! Full standings below. It was a tight race, including a 4 way tie for 6th place. TrimChris edged out gotigerssc, wagnat, and CPRoark to take the last spot. The top 6 players move on to next phase, with standings reset. Phase 2 is a round robin where remaining players play each other player once. The scenarios will be the same as Phase 1. With the US Open set to take place next weekend, Phase 2 will begin Sept 1st.
