Board Game Arena

I guess I'll add my 2 cents to the mix. I like it. Granted, it DOES take some getting used to. I have quite a few games that I play regularly and after shrinking the icons down to medium size, I get a page full of my games that I'm ready to play, and the "jittering" of games with open tables quickly draws my attention to available games. It's more intuitive than the old lobby which constantly scrolled through tables as new ones were added. Keep up the good work, BGA!

I completely agree with you. It was jarring at first but as soon as I shrunk the icon to small I was super happy. This is soooo much better in my opinion. Being able to join from the lobby is FANTASTIC! Thank you thank you thank you! Being able to join multiple games at the same time to see which fires first! Thank you thank you thank you!

The UI is kiddish looking to me. I wish it appeared a little more refined and adultish. (Not like mature content adultish but something that looks designed for adults.)

So happy with this change. I love that an Arena mode is coming as well. COuld that mean that an enhanced tournament mode is coming too?

For the people complaining that they want to see all actively looking games that are in their list, could you make it possible to default to small and open all games? This would display all of their current game and they would even be grouped by the boardgame. Should satisfy that side of things.

Also, I would love to see visual color queues for which have games looking for players. You have the table/number of tables there. Maybe you could make them green instead of blue to stand out. I think that would help them too. Also, I am one of those that says I would become a paying customer if, and I joined before because you were offering so much value to me. I want you to know that this is the exact type of thing that I was looking for you to change to prod me to join and pay it forward. Thank you

I would also recommend changing the left side of the open games window that pops open when you click on the table icon for a game. So it shows all open and waiting games. However, you have wasted so much space on the left with the image and name/collapse in separate columns. Put the name and collapse butoon under the game box image. You'd make the height of each game potentially smaller. Also, small display should probably remove the avatars. Does anyone really care to see the avatars? Maybe some do. But if I want a small, compact display I want these gone. Again it would allow for less real estate to be taken up per game waiting for players.

Pitiful. So now when i join a table and the game doesn"t start, I can't scroll down to see other open tables??? Thats pathetic enough that i won't renew my membership because you ruined something that was never broken

You can join from the game lobby without going into the game. So yes you can see the other games still. You can even join multiple games at the same time and go with the one that starts first.

This new UI is bad for creating new games. It's difficult to figure out how to edit the settings.

Strongly dislike. Did you talk to different players about how they approach this site? Personally, I play while multi-tasking at work and will often choose a game based on how many people are at a table. I have 20 games listed on my profile as wanting to play. The old UI was incredibly easy to work with as I could just scroll down and see how the games are filling up or not and choose one to my liking. This format makes that impossible. Now I'd have to open up every game just to see the options. Please reconsider allowing for the old interface.

this is terrible! WHY even have the "NOTES" on players if you cant see them. Some people play certain games in multiplayer with a good 2 player strategy but poor in 3 or 4.. where "take that" only messes you up if you are behind them as in PI so i wont red thumb them but i wont play that game wiht them..now i cant even see players...Say goodybe to another $25 a year wiht this lobby...enoght people feel the same you wont have anyplatform

Previous version showed life. It was some times to fast. So much that sometimes you could not reach a table you were interested on. But showed so much life that made me remember a crowded game club full of people creating games and starting game negotiations.
This new one seems so synthetic and cold! You do not see people, only games. This is not a step forward.

Please re-think or go back.
