You lose your ranking position if you don't play any games of the relevant ranking for 60 days.

No moderation actions have been taken against the one you linked.

OK, but he still has his ELO rank :?: :?:

https://boardgamearena.com/player?id=89 ... n=prestige

Reports:
Jan 13th 2021: multi accounts (notguilty)
Dec 4th 2020: multi accounts (notguilty)

^^ no doubt that will mean I get flagged at raising bogus reports, why do I not get the response directly?

That is why you may as well refrain from sending cheating reports, the report restriction is placed automatically.
The moderation system isn't set up for direct messages. Nor is it set up for anything other than 'guilty' and 'not guilty'.

Oh ok, that's unfortunate. He only got a warning then?

The last time I checked he was still in the ranking, so I thought it was due to this "guilty" report that he was removed.

Yeah genuine punishments are few and far between. In more than a dozen "guilty" verdicts for reports that I have submitted, there has been only one case of someone having their rating artificially changed and no cases of someone having their unfairly earned achievements removed. I've long since given up on reporting people.

Thanks for the info, truly shocking.

Well, no ELO or awards have been reset and no moderation penalties have been given.
If anything else has been done it isn't publicly visible.

When was that?

https://boardgamearena.com/player?id=84311583 had their Buttons rating changed to exactly 215 sometime between June 9th and August 8th, 2020 (after a guilty verdict was passed down on June 3rd). I have no idea why 215 was the exact value chosen (the fact that the rating became 215.00 and not, say, 215.23 suggests that this was an intentional choice).

It is comparably recent, I'm glad for that at least.
The multiaccount wasn't banned and is still used for ELO boosting, *shrug*.

The similar players also could be seen in the quoridor's ranking.

Some(or only one, Idk) advanced player with lower ELO points using multiple accounts beat another player; other players ELO points will be reduced by more than the appropriate expected amount.

Please see the quoridor's ranking.
Around the top, there are some players with "too high win rate" and "too few play times(almost only play the quoridor)" ......

I think I'm good at quoridor.
If BGA allow multiple accounts, I have to think about I should make new accounts too
