Colonist placement order in Puerto Rico

According to Puerto Rico official rules, colonists can usually be placed simultaneously by all players in the mayor phase, and this is how it is in BGA. In most cases this doesn't affect the outcome; however, in some few cases, it does.
It is possible that the colonist placement by a player affects that of an another; should this happen, the rules state that the colonists are placed with the mayor first and thereafter in the order of the player seating.
I hereby suggest that a "wait" button is added to the mayor phase to all players except the mayor himself. Clicking that button should stop the player's clock until all players seated ahead of him have placed their colonists; also clicking that button informs other players that the player wants this rule to be enforced.
