Notes feature

It's nice that a Notes feature was added to the turn-based games, but there's some serious problems with it.
It needs to not be just stuck in the position it's in. At least on a PC it's covering up player information. In some games that doesn't matter. But I'm having serious problems in Caylus because it's covering up both mine and the 2nd player's resources, money, etc. I need to see this stuff, and I have to keep closing the box to see my stuff, open again to write, close again to see my stuff, etc. It's getting really annoying, and I'm about to just use paper, rendering the Notes feature useless. I imagine this can be a problem in any game where there's any planning and your player box has more than a score. (I did a search on Notes and am surprised to see no one has said anything about this.)
Just moving it elsewhere could cause a different problem, depending on the game. It needs to be movable, so when I open it, I can drag it some place else. This way it works for every game, and for every resolution, etc.
Some other stuff less important...
'OK' closes the box. 'Clear My Notes', which I took to mean delete all the notes, also closes it. (Close my notes makes more sense.) It makes no sense to have two different buttons doing exactly the same thing, like why? (Although a button to actually delete all the notes would be nice.)
I also don't like that it automatically opens. I like to look over the game situation first and see what everyone else has done. I did find a reference from 2015 about an option to not open the notes. There was no response to this but that would be nice. And if it were an option, then those who like it opening automatically can not check that.
And a last thing - why does the notes box show up when you open up a popup for the chat? How are my Notes related to the chat? If someone needs their Notes while chatting, they can open their Notes. It's there even if my Notes are already open, and it covers up the chat, so it has to be closed anyway, so I can't imagine why it's even there.
