Hi,
When you are playing at stone edge and you are cumulating the tool, if for example you have 5 tools they will be display as 2/2/1 and during the game if you want to use your tool to collect ressources you can be impacted cause of this system.

For example: with 5 tools
I want to use 1 tool because i'm missing 1 pt to collect a ressource, so i will have to use a "2" when in fact i just need a "1"

so as I used a "2" i will have 4 left

If after that i go for another type of ressource and i'm missing 5 pts (for example I put 1 meeples on gold and run a 1) the 4 left will not be enought when in fact if i could used only "1" in the previous action I will not be impacted

So the system of displaying the tools and the fact i must used manadatory the 2 even when i need 1 is impacting me

is there any chance to change that?

I'm not sure I understand you... I can always choose which tool to use whenever I'm collecting resources... just click over the tool you wanna use.

This is not a misimplementation in the BGA adaptation -- this is a result of clarification of the game rules. While page 5 of the English rules (http://www.yucata.de/langnet/1/StoneAgeRules.pdf) indicate that a tool can be split, this is a mis-translation.
Thus, it can split and used later for a different action
This is poor grammar, and in direct conflict of the previous sentence,
A tool can be only completely used
Searching the rules forums of BoardGameGeek will turn up a few threads where this is discussed, and clarified. https://boardgamegeek.com/article/20300625#20300625, for example.

Having 3 tools (level 2, level 2, and level 1) is *not* the same as having 5 level-1 tools. Dice are rolled for a resource, and any tool(s) that are used to increase the roll are tapped. There is no mechanic indicated to show that pips are saved because there was no intention to allow pips to be saved -- the tool must be completely used on that resource. However, you do not have to use your most powerful tool -- just click on the icon of the 1 tool if you only need one pip.

ok so thx I understand now that due to the rule, you cannot split the tool so it's make sense.
So up to me to use it precaustionaly
