I tried to contact owners by email but it did not seem to work.
Anyway I am started working on game Madeira (project madeirala), but there is another 7 projects
with the same name and I don't know the state of them (all project listed in "inactive" state even though I pretty sure
mine is active). Is there a way to mark this on games list is being developed? How projects get their state updated?
Any way to get access to code of these other projects?

Is there anybody who wants to collaborate (including non developers help like entering all the text data)?

From the "manage game" page, you can add a comment in the project status section, maybe with dates (something like : "2016/05/29 : development started"), and update the comment from time to time. That will be more precise that "inactive" or "active" anyway.

It's true that lately the projects page is a bit of a mess, since the status/last update are wrong for most projects and the sorting order seems quite random.
I think some timestamp has been lost during an update, and recovering it would probably require more work than what it's worth ; but at least some kind of reboot to get a clean and readable situation would be nice.

But fixing the old studio is not likely to be a priority for the devs these days, so your best option is probably to try and contact the owners of the other Madeira projects and/or wait for a reply from the admins (it can take long but they always answer in the end).

I'd happily collaborate on Madeira if you want some help to speed things along. Provided of course that the other projects are indeed inactive
