What is going on with the load times? Since you guys added the new menu bar and the throbbing tumor logo it has been SLOW. Loads are 15, 20, now 25 seconds for me. It is frustrating. I have been trying to bring it up in different forums, but I feel like I am not the only one. Could others speak up if they are having the same problems?

I am running an i5 with Win 10 and Chrome. I have had good loads until the day after the change. I know I'm not the only one.

This is abnormal and probably not linked to the logo change which is only a visual change (it didnt changed the technique behind the website).

Can you please go to :

http://boardgamearena.com/troubleshoot (and the https equivalent) and check what's wrong?

I also experience long loading times - but that was already the case before you invented the new logo.
Clicking "Community" or loading a player info often takes a long time (30-60 sec) while clicking "Play now" usually makes the site load fast.
When loading an open table it sometimes takes very long (1min+) so that I often go back to "play now" and try again. But sometimes it's loaded like in 1sec.

I tried the troubleshooting sometimes and even if i experience long loading times for a table the troubleshooting usually said everything is nice and fast. But this time the troubleshooting notices long loading times too:

Average BGA server response time : 16968.8 ms (Very bad (abnormal))

Ouch, Silene! 84479ms for a simple request is well over a minute!

I am having the same problems as kamakiriad. The load times on my computer are so much longer with the new "throbbing tumor". It must require more data than the old look.

I have tried every suggestion. I have no issue with Boit au jeaux. I have no problem with any other site. I never had the problem with this site prior to the launch of the new menu bar.

Sadly, the message I am getting is that BGA is just going to blame it on the users and not address it or even admit it is happening.

My response will be to not resubscribe next time and pay my money. Why should I pay for premium if I am getting poor performance?

I think I have about 6 months till renewal. I hope you fix it by then.

Just a note to add 2 important things to this thread :

_ it seems that some ad blocking plugin for Chrome is making BGA very slow on first load, which is odd because we don't display much ads on BGA... we advise you to try to use BGA in private mode or to disable your ad blocker if you have any issue.

_ i sent several emails to this thread author (last one on July 18th) but he didn't reply, which makes very difficult for us to solve this particular issue.

from 113 days to 58 days ago (long before the menu bar issue) .. he finished a total of 6 games. maybe he has a bunch of ongoing turn.based games active, but it looks suspiciously crankish to me. i would focus on reports of other players (like Glen211 and Selene) who are a bit more active and are likely to provide a better basis of information for investigating what is going wrong.
