1024 x what?

I'm making graphics for a game. The board, including grid labels around the edges, will be 1024 px wide and 880 px high. Do I need to get the height below 768? TIA

1024 did not work well on tablets when I tried my game. I suggest 980. Height does matter because there IS vertical scrollbar.

But it does not scroll horizontally by default.

Also you shouldn’t worry too much about height, the web is a scrollable media. What's important is that the width fits. If you want, you can also use mediaqueries for making your game better suited to the form factor: http://en.studio.boardgamearena.com/#!d ... le_version

We are talking about two different things here. I'm not asking about playing on a mobile device. I'm asking about the BGA Studio Guidelines which refer to play on a computer. They say I need to "allow players with a screen of just 1024 px width to play the game"

I may create a more mobile friendly version later. For now, I just want to get something working which I can test. I also want to satisfy the administrators here of course, so they may eventually accept my game for public use. Thank you for your time.

Recommendation to be playable on SCREEN with 1024, that includes browser window frame, scrollbar and margins around the board.
So you graphics should be less than 1024 if you want to follow this recommendation.
