A private chat window should not disappear when entering a game

One thing that I really think would make my BGA experience much better is if the chat window I have opened with one of my friends would not disappear when I enter a game. Also, when I am in a game and a friend contacts me, I have to open a new tab in order to speak with them and switch in-between browser tabs to play and speak at the same time. I think it would be much more comfortable if a chat window would just pop on the screen and the players would have the option to minimize and maximize it as they want.

Yeah, the chat has had issues ever since they took it out of the game log area. I understand how the game log was an interference with it, but I think there were better solutions.

Yes, you can separate it, but it's not obvious. You have to notice there's two symbols on it and take a chance on what they mean, and find it by accident. But it opens kinda skinny (though you can change it), and if you're doing turn-based and have anything in the Notes, it will pop on top of your chat, for no logical reason on earth that I can find.

And it's rather annoying that the last portion of the chat pops up when you enter a turn on a turn-based game, even if nothing new is on it. I think that's one reason people seem to often miss when something new is there.

Really, I think the chat is kind of a mess.
