Turn-based games hosting interface improvements

Currently, if I try to start a turn-based game, and it doesn't fill up before a certain amount of time, it cancels, even if it had reached the minimum player count required. This is odd to me.
Some suggestions:
If the game has reached the minimum number of players by the end of the timer, start the game.
or
Give a timer, so that the host knows how much time is left to get the game filled, or to start it unfilled.
or
At the very least, have the 'canceled game' screen show who had joined prior to cancellation, so that they can be reinvited to a new table.
Some better documentation about how it currently actually works would also be nice. I thought I had the timers and stuff figured out, but even after dozens of turn-based games, I still don't really understand how hosting works. I tried asking for details in the Discussions board (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10606), and I got some information that turned out to be wrong, since I just had more tables unexpectedly canceled unrecoverably.
Cheers,
CB
