Just an idea to add to the website.

What about hosting user submitted game strategy guides? Obviously we already have the game rules, and there are links to each game on BGG.com, but for people interested in learning more and/or improving their game, there's no real one-click easy access guides or FAQ's.

Ideally, the guides would be posted in the same area as the game manuals. They would be reviewed by site admins for quality and content, and maybe there would be a requirement for games played on BGA before one could submit a guide. The site has a fairly decent translator function, so they'd be useful to all regions.


Thoughts?

I think that site admins and moderators have enough work without guides, but if the such thing is created it can be approved by community.

Well ... in fact we are thinking about integrating soon a "Strategy tips" wiki page on game page (ie : during the game), so this may helps you.

But demiurgsage is right : we won't have time to help you on the guide content itself.

I feel like this is kind of beyond the scope of the site... BGG already has great resources for sharing player created guides and strategy tips. Just open a new browser window/tab and let the admins on this site focus on making the games and interface better.

Fair nuff. I agree, whatever makes the site function better is clearly a higher priority
