Obvious cheating in Noir: Inspector VS Killer

In "Noir : Killer VS Inspector" you can now choose "first player is the inspector" (witch is very good).
BUT someone is now using this to boost he's ELO to the first place:
He wait for someone to come, then he quit and come back. At this moment, the settings can't change, so he's now the killer, obviously a big advantage for this game.
The adversaire, 90% of the time don't look at the setting and start the game.
He admit to me he was cheating.
Could we stop this?

Hey, I've seen exactly this behaviour too! By user dKFAF, were you refering to them? Technically it's not cheating, but it's subtle manipulation with settings and may lead to a bad experience, especially for newcomers.

I am sorry to tell that I never cheat.
If you like, you may observe every single game of mine, and remind players of the settings.
When players click 'start' and 'okay', I assume that they agree with the settings, and I believe they notice the settings of the table.

You're a cheater. It's extremely pathetic that you care so much about being the "best" player in this game that you're taking advantage of the system. You're just as bad as the people who played against the BGA Robot so they could become Masters in Can't Stop.
The reason why BGA doesn't allow players to choose to be the killer anymore is because everyone was picking that setting since it's nearly impossible to win this game as the inspector. They just wanted easy ELO points. I just glanced at your last ten games, and it's extremely suspicious that you're the killer in every single game. You know that what you're doing is wrong - there isn't a "First Player is the Killer" option for a reason.
This game really needs revised. It
heavily favors the killer. There was a thread a few months ago with suggestions for how to make this game more balanced and fair, but I don't think the game's creator checks the forums. Until this game is changed, players like dKFAF will continue to cheat because they know they'd lose if they played as the inspector.
I think you should lose the ELO you "earned" for the games where you quit and joined so you could play as the killer. You didn't earn that ELO fairly and don't deserve to be in first place.

I do not cheat.
If you wanna do so, you better ban every single player who played as default killer or had their opponent played as default inspector.
I am playing with players who enjoy being an inspector, they are fine with this, I dont see the problem.
Players involved in cant stop are gaining points from AI, and the game is 100% victory.
But in this game if you make some stupid mistake, like me, you will lose the game easily.
And as you believe the game is biased, you can cope with the game designer.
And under the same logic, player who plays as inspector only should also be banned because they intentionally favours their opponent

If not downright cheating, it's devious and misleading to take advantage of the system in this way.
The 'first player is inspector' option is meant to enable players to offer a second game with configurations reversed (since the game is asymetrical). It's meant to increase fair play, not to enable unfair play.
We heard that this "quit to get the other player to be the inspector" thing happened some months ago, but believed it was marginal. It seems like it's still ongoing and used to abuse the rankings. We'll be thinking about something to prevent this from being possible.
@dKFAF: please don't abuse the system this way. Your ranking has no honourable meaning if it is gained through devious ways.
@all: please check the settings before accepting to join an asymetrical game such as Noir.

while i think you might be able to come up with a prevention for abuse .. having the game dev consider ways to balance the game would be a better long.term solution (and means i would start playing the game again !).

IMO any game where the best strategy is for 1 side is to try and make a random 25% guess at the start of the game is broken and not worthy for inclusion in prestige
The best option I see w/o changing the game is to maintain 2 sub-Elo's (one for inspector one for killer) and a person's Elo is the average of these 2. But in case you couldn't tell, I really don't see much point in putting effort like that into a game that is broken to begin with. Some games (like Mr. Jack..about 2:1 advantage for inspector) can be imbalanced but not broken, unfortunately that isn't the case for this game.
