RFTG: Brink of War is unbalanced

After playing many games with "prestige cards" i must say, that prestige is overpowered as fuck!
When a Player draws a prestige card, which he can play in his first round, hes going to win the game in like 80% of the games,
when the other one doesnt get a prestige card in his 1 or 2 round.

The concept, that you get an VP every round when youre the prestige leader and you can draw a card, when you have generated a prestige
last round, is fucked up. Its like giving the guy whos ahead anyway another VP every round, even when hes doing nothing.

The other point is, that some of the prestige cards are very good even without the prestige you get, when you develop or settle them. They are ridiculous, when you get a prestige on top of the other abilitys of the cards. I feel like its worth it to pay 2 cards for a development which has no powers or VPs but generates one prestige when you play it.

I feel like the outcome of a game is much more random and it requires less skill. You just have to draw more prestige cards then your opponent.

What is your opinion, rftg-community?

I think that game has been already good without this expansion. It only complicated things but didn't bring nothing new to gameplay.

Quite a lot of RFTG players think exactly the same thing (and some call this expansion Race For The Prestige), and don't really like it. My favourite setting is with the first two expansions.
