Concede tournament games when score doesn't matter.

I understand that score does matter in some tournament games (tiebreaker for Swiss-style tournaments, for example), and therefore a final score needs to be achieved on every game. However, in games where a score doesn't influence the tournament standings (single-elimination [where only winner advances] and games like Quarto, Quoridor, Gomoku and Hive [where the score is always 1-0]), the ability to concede a game would be nice.
Unless, of course, I'm missing some other reason.

I would prefer to have a possibility to concede even if score does matter. Just give my opponent the maximume score difference or some standard maximum score difference. I suppose no one should use score difference as a tie breaker in tournaments with players of different skill levels. Because 1 point difference against Master is harder to achive in general than 100 (depends on the game) points difference against Average player.
This wasn't realized because admins think that if someone register in tournaments he must do everything to finish it. There is no chance to concede Swiss tournament.
What's worse, these tournaments lasts for years. (30 days per game * 15 games in typical Swiss tournament). Your life changes. If you have time to play a game today, you probably won't have time to play it 3 monthes later. Even if you have time, the game will bore you after 2-3 monthes (and you still have a year till tournament's end).
This system is completely unfriendly to players. But who cares?

In Quoridor, when you concede, the score is 0-0. This affects tournaments results. That is why it is not possible to concede.

Why shouldn't the score be 1-0 for a concede?

I don't know. I agree but it is always like this at least at quoridor. Maybe a bug or an error.

Maybe someone should report that? It's obviously an error since conceding means you lose. I don't personally care about the tournaments as I don't do them, but there's no logic in not allowing conceding because of an error like this. If you can't concede, there should be some logical reason behind it.

I have already asked for that and this is why conceding is not allowed in tournaments :

actually score during the game and result of the game are different things. We can use a sum of figure value in chess as score during the game, and lose the game having better score than opponent. Some games may have alternative victory condition when you immediately win if you do a certain action nonetheless the current score.
